Different terminology is used in Western languages for ‘Thai Massage’. To distinguish ‘Thai Massage’ from sex ‘massages’, the terms ‘Traditional Thai Massage’ ‘Thai Yoga Massage’ or ‘Ancient Massage’ is widespread. You may also come across ‘Nuad’, ‘Nuat’ or ‘Nuad Phaen Boran’ (differently spelled), the Thai language expressions for ‘Thai Massage’. The tradition was brought to Thailand by Ayurvedic doctors. To honor this line of tradition, we prefer to call it ‘Thai Yoga Massage – Ayurvedic Bodywork’.These classes are suitable for health professionals.
